Ethical Spousal Spying

Ethical Spousal Spying – Three of its Commandments

Do you ever feel like you need to keep an eye on your partner’s activities? It can be tempting to engage in ethical spousal spying to keep the relationship in check, but is it worth it? To find out if you’re ready for this step, check out these helpful rules.

But in the end, even if neither of you is telling the other everything about your life, you should think twice before putting on your snooping glasses. Even though snooping might sound fun, but it can cause problems you didn’t expect in your relationship.

Ask yourself a question. If your partner always thinks you’re cheating on them, no matter how hard you try to prove them wrong, would you really stop yourself when someone really attractive flirts with you and really wants you? In our never-ending search for loyalty and security, we may end up making our own partners have an affair.

So you should think twice before you peek. After all, are you willing to put everything in your relationship at risk just because you’re a person who feels insecure? Think before you cross the line and look around. It hurts to find out that someone you love doesn’t trust you. And you will definitely pay the price as well, whether you find something fishy or not.

The Three Rules About Snooping

1. There’s always something you’ll wish you hadn’t done.

Even if this first commandment sounds annoying and sad, that doesn’t change the fact that it’s true. Almost every time you look around, you’re likely to find something you don’t like, even if it’s something small.

2. If you don’t find anything important, you’ll be caught.

This rule is the way out of the first one, but breaking it can be just as bad as breaking the first one. If you’re trying to find evidence of a secret shag but don’t find anything, your partner would likely walk into the room as you frantically rummage through their underwear drawers.

3. You’ll be sorry that you snooped.

You couldn’t make a wet blanket feel any wetter. No matter what you find when you look around, you will always end up regretting it. If you find something, it could be a dark secret that you might not want to know. If you don’t, you’ll just be frustrated or feel bad that you doubted your partner. There will be regrets no matter what.

Snooping has its own good and bad things that come with it. What you might find is up to chance or guesswork. But you might not always like what happens when you sneak around.
